Club Friends,

I often wonder if you're all receiving these emails (if the service I'm using is working for everyone??). I hope so! Will you let me know if you're seeing reading this post please (really, I am so curious if the service is still reaching you)?

Been a minute! I hope to see you again at our next Club meet up at Noon Pacific on Tuesday. I'll be there with my returning esteemed guest speaker, Mark Drobny of Drobny Law, who will educate us on Estate Planning know-how and what you might need to think about given the "fiscal cliff" ahead and associated potential tax law changes to adjust for. Even if you don't know what is up about these topics, the basics will also be covered, and you'll have an opportunity to glean, sponge, and ask questions.

Will I see you there? Like the post for me if so! Or leave a comment with what you're hoping to get out of our hour together on Tuesday.

Three generations walking together in the woods.

And may I suggest this to you: if you need an ice breaker with your parents or siblings and other loved ones nesting in your family tree, that you invite them along with you to this discussion in the spirit of good family information sharing/planning together. Everyone's welcome. Tell a friend!

E.M.Powers ("el") is a regular person with no particular financial credentials or expertise who happens to be a money enthusiast and the founder of The Money Matters Club, a virtual watercooler for like-minded individuals with a thirst for building their own financial health. Since 2006, she's helped thousands of co-workers build their financial literacy and wealth by participating in The Money Matters Club, a community she built on her employer's internal network. Since 2023, she's been attempting to scale The Club's reach through its second home on the World Wide Web. Her opinions--as well as the opinions of all participants--are just that: opinions, which are subject to flawed logic, math, typos and correction. She keeps a growth mindset and is also always learning something new or bolstering her own understanding after discussions at The Club. All information shared is done so with the best intent to inspire and empower others to learn more about money considerations toward building their own financial muscles. Nothing shared is meant as individualized advice that anyone should act on without doing their own curious research and personal decision making. There are no dumb questions at The Money Matters Club. Your financial health and literacy are what this Club cares about. All investing involves risk. All results can and will vary.

Forwarded it to family and friends, we're looking forward to to both the educational content and experiences and gotchas from trustees and executors as they have navigated others' wishes. Thank you for all you do and creating this space for us, El!
